This project is trying to solve a need I have myself, and have seen expressed by others, to collect and display a simple range of years. For example:

Term of office: 2008 – 2016
Series run: 2018 – present
Gaius Caesar: 20 BCE – 4 CE

In addition, if the start and end years are identical, or no end year is entered and "to present" is not selected, only the start year should display.
