This is a proof of concept for providing a Media Library form element, and as such, is an API module.

A Media Library form element is useful and necessary in the following contexts:

  • A custom configuration form that stores a media reference from the Media Library (and therefore needs to provide a UI to the Media Library)
  • A custom compound field of which one field is a media reference

This has been designed for & is compatible with Drupal 8.8.0-alpha1.
